Favorite Quote “I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed” -- Michael Jordan
Coaching Philosophy Coaching to me is about character development. Sports are a tremendous conduit to valuable life skills. Sports teach you how to work together with others; something that will remain important throughout a player’s lifetime. Sports teach you discipline and focus. Sports teach you about effort and reaping the rewards of hard work. Sports teach you how to be modest in victory and gracious in defeat. Sports teach you about persevering. There are endless life lessons that can be learned through sports.
Coaching Influence My dad impacted my coaching style and philosophies more than I probably even know. He taught me the priorities of coaching. It isn’t about being the best player on the team. It’s about giving your best effort; being the best version of yourself. My dad taught me the intellectual aspects of sports. He taught me how be a student of the game. How to see sports through the eyes of a coach. I’m grateful that he coached me and sparked the fire that drives me to be the best coach I can be.
Coaching Strength Developing young student athletes into great people. Teaching how to play with integrity and discipline. Being consistent with my message and my approach. Maximizing the ability of each player to contribute to the betterment of the team.
