The 8th grade team put together an impressive win on Saturday defeating the Hampshire Wildcats 46-0. The Fighting Irish won their second consecutive league championship with the win. The 8th graders went undefeated this year at 10-0. They are all very excited to finish their youth football years as back-to-back champions. We wish all these boys the best as they move on to High School football next year. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, Marian Central High School, and especially all the volunteers that help the Fighting Irish program.
The St. Mary Youth Football program has been around since 1926 and is the oldest and winningest program in the state of Illinois.
The football and cheer programs are open all local boys and girls regardless what school you attend now or in the future.
The program is fully supported by all local high schools Woodstock High School, Woodstock North High School and Marian Central Catholic High School. They offer teams for kids 5-14 years old.
